DOLPHIN AND MAHI-MAHI

Here in Key West we have two types of Dolphin:  the type that play in boat wakes and people pay to swim with, and those that people fish for.  This second type is also known as Mahi-Mahi, and it is quite tasty.  We know the best people and services to help you find the dolphin that you're looking for.

DOLPHIN TOURS

Unfortunately, swimming with dolphins is prohibited in the Florida Keys.  However, there are alternate ways to visit Flipper and his buddies.

Dolphin Tour Boats:
Several local services offer special dolphin Safaris.  There are even snorkel tours available as well.  These can be booked throughout the day, some even provide food and cocktail service.

Dolphin Research Center:
Located on Grass Key, just a short drive from Key West is the Dolphin Research Center.  This 90,000 sf facility focuses on dolphin cognitive research and is funded solely by private donations.  It is open to the public seven days a week.
